Yoko Taro, haven’t your fans suffered enough? Apparently not, otherwise I couldn’t officially explain why Nier account has decided that March 31 is the best time to announce something vaguely called Nier: Cosmic Horrora new “project” that may or may not be a game.
The teaser is only 21 seconds long, during which we see the series mascot Emil smiling menacingly in the background. As unsettling music plays, the teaser reveals a biomechanical monster that might have been designed by H.R. Giger. “Is hope born from nothing?” the post read. “Or is it despair disguised as salvation?”
It’s been almost a decade since then Nier: Automatathe beloved existential action game known for its multiple twists and endings. Since then, protagonist 2B has appeared in various places, starting from Siege of the Rainbow Six to supervise. Series director Yoko Taro also seems open to new games in this world, once stating that he would consider doing anything if he had the money for it. So far, this has mostly been due to re-releases, collaborations with other games, or tertiary projects, such as concerts and anime.
However, the world was clamoring for an all-new Nier game, which made this announcement a bit cruel, as fans wondered whether they were being made fun of or not. In Yoko Taro’s defense, the game developer revealed in 2025 that he’s been busy since then automatic machine, except his projects seem to keep getting cancelled. At the time, Taro joked that he didn’t mind it too much because he was still getting paid.
“I do not see [the cancellations] as a negative thing,” Taro said. “I believe that if I’m going to release something weird, it’s better if I don’t release anything at all.”
Whatever Nier: Cosmic Horror As it turns out, this scarier take on the franchise makes sense. The franchise is a disturbing and constant onslaught of tragedy and death. One could argue with that Nier: Automata is Already a psychological horror game for protagonist 2B, who is forced to shut down her emotions as she fulfills a terrible order.
One reason to remain hopeful here is that, more often than not, Japanese developers legitimately announce actual games on April Fool’s Day. Publisher Square Enix did say so Nier: Automata it will somehow continue in February 2026. Let’s hope this isn’t fake.
Currently, even The Weeknd is waiting for a new Nier game.
PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
