IECC 2025 was attended by participants from 9 countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, India, China, Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh. The greatest enthusiasm came from Indonesia, with more than 2,500 children who registered and took part in the qualifying stages.

This competition is designed for school-aged children who are interested in developing animation or games while studying environmental issues. Through Scratch, participants practice turning ideas into interactive animations. Meanwhile, through Roblox, children build virtual worlds with game elements that are both educational and entertaining.

The qualification stage is the main entrance. Thousands of participants submitted their best work. From this process, the 100 best participants in the Scratch category and the 100 best participants in the Roblox category were selected from Indonesian participants.

The official announcement was made on September 27, 2025 via the Koding Next YouTube channel. This moment is an important milestone because it announces who has successfully advanced to Regional Stage.
