Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Cranberry Glaze turn a simple dish into a standout dish. The sprouts are caramelized in the oven, then coated in a bright cranberry glaze that’s equal parts tart and sweet, with cranberry juice, orange juice, a hint of cinnamon, nutmeg, and a hint of umami. It’s a bold, bright burst of fall flavors – proof that Brussels sprouts can steal the show.

Cranberry glaze – soy sauce, secret flavor ingredient
This simple glaze comes together in minutes on the stovetop in a small saucepan. A splash of soy sauce adds a subtle savory depth that perfectly balances the tart cranberries and warm spices. It’s the same secret flavor enhancer I use in my roast turkey glaze, bringing out the umami flavor that makes Brussels sprouts richer, more balanced, and irresistibly delicious.

Sweeten the glaze
I like honey as my sweetener. You only need a little because cranberry juice will taste sweet and so will orange juice. You can also use maple syrup.
Brussels sprouts game changer
Never eat boiled Brussels sprouts again! Roasting it with olive oil, salt, and pepper brings out a mouth-watering sweetness to this once-dreaded vegetable—and the crunchy leaves are simply irresistible. A drizzle of glaze added while baking caramelizes slightly, taking it to the next level.
As a child, I was never a fan of Brussels sprouts. No matter how hard my mother tried, I refused—not just sprouts, but most vegetables. I think it’s a common thing that happens to children. But now, as an adult, I’ve started roasting them, and they’ve become my favorite seasonal vegetable. Funny how things change!
